Largest alpine pasture area in the Salzkammergut between Strobl am Wolfgangsee and Abtenau. A paradise for hikers but also mountain bikers.

From St. Wolfgang via the Falkenstein to Fürberg / St. Gilgen
A worthwhile tour along Lake Wolfgang, over the Falkenstein – with signposted adventure points and a magnificent view. Back by ship.
Around the Bürgelstein
asy to moderately difficult circular hike, partly on the lake shore and suitable for any weather. Start at the house, around the rocky Bürglstein and back to the starting point.
Rieder round
The easy circular route on the picturesque Wolfgangsee in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut mountains is accessible almost all year round. Start right outside the front door with numerous places to stop for refreshments.
Kalvarienberg
Easy walk up Mount Calvary from St. Wolfgang, Upper Austria. Perfect to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a short moment thanks to the wonderful panoramic view.
Schafberg – on foot or with the cog railway
Challenging and promising round tour. From St. Wolfgang via the Mönichsee it’s 1,780 m up to the striking Schafberg. Those who like it more comfortable can take the cog railway directly from St. Wolfgang.
Vormauerstein – to the Vormaueralm
The hike to the Vormauerstein is a highlight of the Schafberg area. Magnificent view at the summit, overlooking the Wolfgangsee, Attersee and the surrounding mountains.
